I live in Hampshire, married with three spirited children and a big fat cat and a new mischievous puppy 😉 I am a qualified nurse of over 29yrs having worked as a palliative care nurse specialist both in hospital /community teams and hospices in Leeds /London. I feel privileged to have supported many families through their EoLC journey. Death in my experience is often a fearful part of our wonderful life, and conversations around this are neglected in most families; sharing our wishes with loved ones can help us appreciate our life more by thinking about what matters most to us especially when facing much uncertainty. Having recently completed the Living Well Dying Well Foundation Training. I am passionate to enable others to be more aware of all the choices we have around planning for our own death and the support and companionship needed. “You don’t know what you don’t know!” I wish to help you. · Understand your choices around advance care planning/ tender conversations with those important to you. · Emotional / spiritual support to hold this space, with compassion, warmth, and kindness. · Recognise and talk about ‘ordinary dying’. · Help navigate all the many resources available to you and your loved one.
