Hello there, I’m Helen and I’ve trained and qualified with Living Well Dying Well as an End of Life Doula in order to become more fluent in holding end of life conversations.
During the past thirty years I’ve offered specific housing advice and worked alongside care and support organisations to ensure people’s needs are understood and met.
As an end of life doula I work with individuals, and their families, who are also living with additional needs, helping to make life more manageable for anyone with learning disabilities, autism, life-long conditions or life-changing diagnoses such as cancer, dementia or Parkinson’s.
I’m a people person, love hearing life stories, so I can make sure each individual is listened to and their wishes followed as closely as possible. For anyone making end of life arrangements – I’m here to walk with you, have lots of patience and would be happy to have a chat about what’s on your to-do list.
My life motto is from Maya Angelou: “… people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
