Hi, I am Deirdre, I live on the Norfolk/ Suffolk border near Bungay.  I live with my ponies and dogs and my children and grandchildren live close by.  I have recently retired from the NHS where I worked as an Occupational Therapist and specialised in palliative care and life limiting conditions.

I have also been fortunate to be able to work with people with life limiting conditions in Bangladesh and Tanzania.  I spend my free time doing my arts and crafts, looking after my garden and avoiding housework.

I want to continue my support for people and their friends and families using the skills and knowledge I have acquired.  While the NHS could provide medical interventions and equipment to support people, regrettably time to just be with people was limited.

I want to be able to give people my time, support and presence to support them to explore their needs, hopes and dreams, so that they can take control of how they wish to live their lives.

I believe that most people know what and how they would like their remaining time to be.  Unfortunately very few people are given the time, support or space to explore, record and state how they would like their lives to conclude.

I hope that I can provide the support needed to explore and help fulfil someone’s final wishes and comfort to those who live on.
