More about me
I’m a pharmacist whose career took a back seat to my husband’s international moves and the joys (and chaos!) of raising a family across different countries. My work has been more about small-scale community efforts than a grand pharmacy career. I’ve chipped in at nursing homes in the US, supported kids with special needs in Hong Kong, and lent a hand at the Red Cross Home for the Disabled in Singapore. Having finally settled in Lisbon, Portugal, I look forward to what is yet to come. Driven by a commitment to holistic care, I pursued a course in palliative care, sparking an interest in supporting individuals navigating the final stages of life. As I tread the path of becoming a doula, I am drawn to the idea of guiding and comforting individuals through this delicate journey. I believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to express their wishes, find closure, and be surrounded by compassion. In the quiet moments at the end of life, the power of human connection, empathy, and a gentle presence can make all the difference in crafting a dignified and peaceful transition. It is a privilege to be a part of this journey, advocating for a compassionate and holistic approach to the inevitable, helping individuals embrace the concept of a good death.
